Building has been sold!
Christ Church, an independent reformed theology congregation, has purchased the property and is busily planning for their first service in mid-February.
You can learn more about them at http://christchurchspokane.org/
Pastor Joost (sounds like Yoast) Nixon and his board of elders and realtor have been negotiating with Pastor Bob Warren and the Pacific Conference of the Evangelical Church to work out the final details of the sale agreement, and papers are set to be signed and title transferred on February 1, 2008.
All property in the building is transferring to Christ Church's ownership except
- the cabinet piano that belongs to Gary's family, which is in the King's Room
- the five fans in the prayer room that belong to Pastor Luis Luque
- the dresser upstairs that belongs to Pastor Luis Luque
Cars left in the parking lot will be towed to impound on February 7.
Christ Church is a large congregation and will probably fill the sanctuary from the time they open for services here. They have been meeting in the Grange Hall on 57th on South Hill, and are looking forward to owning and controling their own property, and belonging to the community they serve.
